Rebate terms
Plain-English terms for the 50% buyer rebate. Your buyer agreement controls; this page summarizes how the rebate works.
Your rebate equals 50% of the buyer-agent compensation actually received by Firelight Realty Group on your purchase.
Compensation is not set by law and is negotiated in each transaction. If no buyer-agent compensation is paid, there is nothing to rebate.
The rebate percentage is stated in your buyer representation agreement before you tour homes.
As Florida rules require, the rebate is disclosed to all parties, including your lender and the closing agent.
If you finance, your lender must approve the credit and may limit how much applies. Amounts above what your loan program allows may not be payable.
Usually as a credit on your settlement statement. Cash buyers receive it as a reduction in funds due, or as otherwise agreed in writing.
Rebates on new construction are offered only where the builder's broker terms permit them, and usually require registering your agent on your first visit.
Rebates apply to transactions represented through GetBuyerRebate.com by participating Firelight Realty Group agents.
The IRS has generally treated buyer rebates as a reduction in purchase price. We don't give tax advice; consult your tax advisor.
Tell us about your purchase and we'll walk you through the terms.
