Resale home buyer rebate: a full-service realtor rebate on existing Florida homes.

Most buyers find their home online themselves. We handle showings, the offer, negotiation, inspections and closing, then rebate 50% of the buyer-agent commission we receive.

Resale service areas: Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Volusia, Flagler and Brevard counties

After the NAR settlement: what changed for buyers

Since August 2024, every buyer signs a written buyer agreement before touring, and the buyer-agent commission is negotiated deal by deal. Sellers still pay it in most Florida sales. Your agreement with us puts the 50% rebate in writing from day one.

If the seller offers less

You still get 50% of whatever we receive. We can also ask the seller to cover buyer-agent compensation in your offer. We'll explain your options before you sign anything.

Resale rebate FAQ

Does a rebate make my offer weaker?

No. The rebate comes from our side of the commission, so the seller nets the same. It can even help you offer more, since it lowers your cash to close.

Do you still show homes in person?

Yes, within our resale service areas. You get full representation, not a self-service app.

Can I use the rebate with an FHA or VA loan?

Usually, as a credit toward allowable closing costs. Each loan program has limits, so we confirm with your lender early.

Can I get a resale rebate if I go to open houses on my own?

Yes, as long as you tell the listing agent at each open house that you're working with Firelight Realty Group, and we have a showing agreement or EBBA in place before working together. All commissions are negotiable.

Can I get a rebate on a for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) home?

Often, yes. We can ask the seller to pay buyer-agent compensation as part of your offer. If they won't, your showing agreement or EBBA explains the options. Your rebate is 50% of the compensation we actually receive, and all commissions are negotiable.

Can I get a rebate on an investment property or second home?

Yes, when buyer-agent compensation is paid. Loan rules on credits differ for second-home and investment loans, so involve your lender early. Cash buyers usually have the most flexibility.

Can I buy through the listing agent and still get a rebate?

Not our rebate. The listing agent also works with the seller. To get your 50% rebate, have us represent you: sign our showing agreement or EBBA before touring, and tell the listing agent you're working with Firelight Realty Group.
