What to know about Horizon West
Horizon West isn't a city. It's an unincorporated, planned area made up of villages connected by greenbelts, so you'll see Windermere and Winter Garden mailing addresses throughout. Taxes, HOA rules and CDDs depend on the specific community, not the mailing address.
Many communities have CDD assessments in addition to HOA dues. These can add hundreds of dollars a month, so we compare total monthly cost, not just price.
SR-429 runs along the western edge and connects to I-4, the Turnpike and SR-408, and Disney is roughly 10 to 15 minutes away for many neighborhoods. Schools are a major draw, but zoning changes as new schools open, so verify the zoned schools for each address.
